Shock and Awe...Red Sox Announce ALDS Roster

The Sox have announced their 25 man ALDS Roster, leaving Veteran Tim Wakefield off of the list. It is a sad, but likely necessary day in RSN. Until his back injury, Wakefield was on par to win 20 games right up there with Beckett. When he came back he said he was feeling fine, but his ERA showed a different story. Another reason he may have been left off? The Angles are full of Speed. They feel the need to run, and run all day long. That could REALLY hurt the team if Wake was pitching, since his balls are so "slow" to get to the plate.

The Roster is as follows:

Starters
Jason Varitek
Kevin Youkilis
Dustin Pedroia
Julio Lugo
Mike Lowell
J.D. Drew
Coco Crisp
Manny Ramirez
David Ortiz

Bench
Eric Hinske
Alex Cora
Jacoby Ellsbury
Bobby Kielty
Doug Mirabelli
Kevin Cash

Pitchers
Josh Beckett
Daisuke Matsuzaka
Curt Schilling
Jon Lester
Jonathan Papelbon
Eric Gagne
Hideki Okajima
Mike Timlin
Manny Delcarm
