Papelbon on QVC Right Now!!!

Thanks to my cousin for letting me know Paps is on QVC right now (11:00 PM, Wednesday Night) - and I guess Dougie is going to be on at 2am schlepping World Series schwag.

If you get this, tune in!

Don't forget to Watch Papelbon-bon on Letterman tonight!!!!!

Set Your Tivos....

We're not done with seeing our beloved Sox yet!

Tonight
Papelbon on Late Night with David Letterman - Wouldn't it rock if the Drop Kick's were also on and he danced to them? I don't think that's the plan but it would be very cool. Regardless, I'm sure Cinco Ocho will give us a good show!

Thursday
Off-day - although I may be making a TV appearance, more to come on that once I get confirmation.

Friday
Papi on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien - I'm sure Papi will be cool, calm and collected.
I've also heard the possibility of Manny Making an appearance on Leno - the same night as the Backstreet boys, should be..ummm...interesting?! HA!

Red Sox Players - Red Sox Rolling Rally Parade Pictures

Well, I had lofty expectation of editing all of my great pictures and "wow-ing" you with them, but work and life get in the way and I think the most important thing, at this point, is to get my pictures out to all of you who weren't able to be there.

I'm going to "attempt" to post my favorite pictures, but truth be told it's SO HARD to find a "favorite" when the whole lot of them put a smile on my face. You already saw my sign pics, so here are the players/team pictures I have :o)

Tom and Larry sure look happy!

"YEAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" - I'm a little disappointed though. Beckett PROMISED to dance with Paps if we won the World Series, and we did. So far no confirmation on that actually taking place!

Papi! He was pointing to the shaved head (with a Red Sox Logo) of Royce Clayton* and saying "This is what it's all about! This is what it's all about!" *Ok, I don't know if it's Royce Clayton because I didn't see his face but that's who I'm guessing it was.

Manny! He said "I need some Crown Royal!" and then invited everyone
back to his place for a party and said that Boston is the
place to be and that they have the best fans and he loves us. Awww Manny.

Red Sox 2007 Rolling Rally Signs - Signs - Everywhere Signs

It's going to take a few days for me to get all of my pictures and videos from today's Red Sox parade online.

Believe me, it will be worth it! Papelbon stopped right in front of us to do his jig and even though I didn't see Ellsbury, Crisp or Wakefield I saw more players than I did in 2004!

It was a great day filled with chants of "Re-sign Lowell! Re-sign Lowell!" and "MVP, MVP" which just goes to show how much Boston and RSN loves Mike Lowell and doesn't want to see him anywhere, but in a Red Sox Uniform next season!

In 2004 I walked around a lot more - first watching the parade at the Common and then down on the Charles. Today, however, I was stationed in Copley. Besides seeing the players, one of my favorite parts is looking at all of the creative signs people made. Here are the shots I got.

Our WORLD CHAMPION Boston Red Sox are Home!

My future Father-in-Law works at Logan - he waited outside for an hour (along with about 1,000 other Logan Airport employees!) for the Sox plane to land. Unfortunately, right before that happened the state police ushered them away so they weren't able to see the players exit the plane...but here's da plane! da plane!

However, these pictures got passed to me (taken, I believe, by a man named Tom Christopher) of some of our guys exiting the plane.

Who's going to the Parade tomorrow? I'll see you there!

Former Cape League Players Score 100% of Runs in Game 4 of the World Series!

Game 4 2007 World Series
Red Sox 4 - Rockies 3

Here are the statistics for those Cape League Alumni who took part in last night's game. Charts created by SoxyLady, stats taken from MLB.com.

a-Homered for Timlin in the 8th.

BATTING
2B: Ellsbury (4, Cook), Lowell (3, Cook)
HR: Lowell (1, 7th inning off Cook, 0 on, 0 out), Kielty (1, 8th inning off Fuentes, 0 on, 0 out)
TB: Ellsbury 3; Lowell 6; Varitek 2; Kielty 4
RBI: Varitek (5), Lowell (4), Kielty (1)
Runners left in scoring position, 2 out: Ellsbury

BATTING
2B: Helton (2, Lester)
HR: Hawpe (1, 7th inning off Delcarmen, 0 on, 0 out), Atkins (1, 8th inning off Okajima, 1 on, 1 out)
TB: Helton 3; Atkins 4; Hawpe 4
RBI: Hawpe (2), Atkins 2 (2)

FIELDING
DP: 3 (Atkins-Matsui-Helton, Helton, Tulowitzki-Matsui-Helton)

Before I get to the player of the game, it is worth it to point out that the former Cape Leaguers scored 100% of the runs in Game 4 of the World Series. 100%. How great is that? And without further ado...Congratulations to Jacoby Ellsbury, Mike Lowell AND Bobby Kielty who were voted* as the "Cape League Alumni Players of the Game" - As the owner of this blog, I am allowed to vote all three in because they all had incredibly significant plays to bring the Red Sox their second World Series in my lifetime!

*The voting went as follows:
SoxyLady: Ugh, this is hard one. I'm going to go with Kielty - one pitch, one run - the difference in the game. Plus, he said this:
"It's the world series, I was going down swinging - first pitch I was swinging at anything, didn't care if it was rolled in"
Soxy's Brother: Ellsbury batted .438 for the series and didn't seem phased by the spotlight - in fact i'm pretty sure he would have run through that wall to catch out #2 in the9th if he had to. but lowell's HR and picture perfect slide would have made tom emansky proud.
Soxy's Dad: LOWELL - he had a big HR and a perfect slide home on Tek's hit. It's Lowell, no question.

So now onto the harder question - Who is the Former Cape League Player World Series MVP?

Here are the totals as I have them - and I'm not going to include pitching stats in here. Unless there is a loud demand for them, I'm going to keep it offense only.

So SoxyLady readers, I need YOUR VOTE!!!!! You tell me who the MVP is!!!!!
