Boycott Nike

From: http://www.jennsylvania.com/jennsylvania/2007/07/waiting-for-god.html

I WANT to call for a boycott against Nike, Inc. but I'm waiting for their response on whether or not they plan to continue to have dog-killing thugs endorsing their products, MICHAEL VICK. (In the meantime, (my husband) spent last evening with a seam-ripper, removing little embroidered swooshes off all his athletic gear. While our vicious, blood-thirsty, born-to-kill pit bull cowered in the bathroom because it was raining.)

While I was writing this entry, I got an email back from Nike:

There is no change in the status of the agreement between Nike and football player Michael Vick. Nike will continue to monitor the situation, but has nothing further to say at this time.

We appreciate that you took the time to contact us and your feedback will be passed along to the proper department.

Sincerely,

Nike

Oh, Nike...

It is SO F*****G ON.

Are you disgusted they've yet to part ties with Michael Vick? Then please let them know!

Nike have been corporate criminals for years and years and I have tried to tell the world of their evildoing. It would be a much better world if we all stood up to these large companies and let them know we will not tolerate their actions. It's not just the Michael Vick thing either. The good folks at Nike LOVE slave labor, and their workers throughout Indonesia and elsewhere suffer in sweatshops everyday for scraps! Child slave labor? NIKE LOVES THIS STUFF and they've done it for years!

It's time we all wake up and educate each other on these criminal corporations and have a worldwide boycott.

Coca Cola is another one....... www.killercoke.com Check it out!

GREAT BLOG BY THE WAY!

GO SOX!

I'm so disgusted with Nike. I don't know how they can justify to themselves what they're doing. I really hope the company suffers, because they deserve it just as much as Vick, as far as I'm concerned.

I sent them this, and what do you know, I got a form letter in response. Nice to know they take their customers so seriously. Seriously, I accidentally submitted my e-mail twice and I received the EXACT SAME reply from two different "people" (obviously, no people, they just invented names to attach to make it seem like someone actually read my letter).

While I hope and expect Nike has been inundated with angry e-mails, letters, and phone calls regarding your continued relationship with Michael Vick, and realize that I will receive nothing more than a form response, I am still
compelled to write, if only for my personal release of the utter disgust building up inside me as a result of reading the government's indictment of Vick.

Please don't waste my time mentioning due process -- it is an insult. Vick is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a COURT OF LAW, which I do not live in. Rather, I live in society, where I expect those people who cannot
resist torturing and killing animals to NOT be celebrated because of athletic prowess. I'm not asking you to convict Michael Vick -- which is the purpose of our judicial system and as a result, due process -- I'm asking you to take a stand against his despicable choices.

I do not have a problem destroying every piece of Nike apparel I own. I will not wear the symbol of a company so willing to ignores its duty to the community and disrespect its customers by hiding behind the word of the law
while brazenly ignoring the spirit of the law.

Please, take a stand against Vick -- whether it be his alleged cruelty to animals, or his willingness to ignore its presence in his own home.

Thank you for contacting Nike regarding Michael Vick.

Nike is concerned by the serious and highly disturbing allegations made against Michael Vick, and we consider any cruelty to animals inhumane and abhorrent. We do believe that Michael Vick should be afforded the same due process as any citizen; therefore, we have not terminated our relationship.
We have, however, made the decision to suspend the release of the Zoom Vick V and related marketing communications. Nike will continue to monitor the situation closely and has no further comment at this time.

We appreciate that you took the time to contact us and your feedback will be passed along to the proper department.

Sincerely,
Nike

Hi! I used the link to the form and sent Nike a note. The stories I've seen about the subject have just disgusted me- I can't even read them all! It is beyond me how people could ever be so cruel for sport.
