Youk's song is actually called just "Push It" if you go to iTunes and put in "push it to the limit" you will get some song by corbin bleu, not what most Sox fans want..

Checking around other teams sites, I've found that for the Indians, Paul Byrd used to come out to Shine by Collective Soul and at the Pirates Jason Bay used Sickness by Disturbed as his at bat song. I've had to add Mark Kotsay to the 'unknown' list though.

Varitek has changed his *back* to Kryptonite. I heard it when I was at the park this week.

Jed Lowrie actually changed his. Anyone know what song it is...it sounds familiar

Tek's is switched back

Mark Kotsay's is Low by Flo Rider

I wish I could help on the songs played between innings; there were some good ones when we were there during the series against TB last week. Let's hope someone knows some of them!
And Soxy lady, thanks for all of your work to get the player song list together!

Casey uses Evenflow by Pearl Jam.

As for Fenway songs, I can think of a few:
Eminence Front - the Who
Centerfield - John Fogerty
Cheers theme song
Beautiful Day - U2
Zombie Nation - Kernkraft 400
Boom Boom Boom - Outhere Brothers
And after a win:
Dirty Water - Standells
Tessie - Dropkick Murphys
Joy to the World - Three Dog Night

As for links, you can link to a song directly in iTunes if you right click (it says "Copy iTunes Store URL).

Oh yeah - JD Drew doesn't have a song b/c he doesn't want to keep coming up with something new (read it in an MLB article)

We were at Fenway on the 24th of Sept. and they most definitely played Muse's "Knights of Cydonia" just before the game got started... I couldn't believe it! I was highly impressed - what a song to get psyched up to...

Last night I was at Game 3 and heard Masterson warming up to Skillet's "Rebirthing".

Anonymous said...

yeah, rebirthing was awesome

when drew was at bat they played "mama mia" by ABBA

Was anyone at last nights game (10/5)? I loved the song Ortiz played every time he came up. Does anyone know what that song is called? Thanks for this great list.

Anonymous said...

Ortiz's song is called "Blow the Whistle" by Too $hort. You can get it on iTunes.

I want that Ortiz song that was going last night to. Didn't seem to help him out too much, but it had a sick beat.

Hey guys I forgot that I had this and wanted to share it with the rest of Red Sox Nation. I made a Red Sox 2008 CD and had the opening to the NESN broadcast as the opener to the CD. Here is the .mp3 link to it!

Anyone know the songs that are played during talks on the mound, pitching changes and pregame?

I went to ALDS game 4 and they played "Good Life" by Kanye West after the game during the on field celebration. Hopefully we'll have another one of those tonight!

I was at the game on thursday, the game that will very likely go down in history as "the comeback" and "the 7-0 comeback game" and they clearly played S.L.U. or swagger like us by T.I.

(This was played every time when Coco stepped to the plate)

I am really interested in finding out more info on Manny Delcarmen's song about Boston. I heard it on Thursday night, but cannot find anything about where to find it.
If anyone has any info, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks!

i think david ortiz's at-bat song is "here i go" by mystikal...

Went to the game last night (4/8/09) and everyone that was in the game had the same music as last year.

The only notes on the Red Sox newbs; Baldelli didn't have a song and Saito's song was "The Show Must Go On" by Queen.
